2012

Promotion to full professor

Through his relentless endeavors, in the year 2011, Dr. Sazgar became the youngest professor of otolaryngology in Tehran University of Medical Sciences and currently has the honor of serving as a full professor in the oldest and most prestigious university in the country.

2011 - 2012

Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship

In 2010, due to distinguished activities in his field, Dr. Sazgar became one of the few Iranian specialists to be accepted at Stanford University in the field of Facial Plastic Surgery. During his period of residency under Professor Sam Must, he performed extensive research in rhinoplasty leading to publication of numerous scientific articles in some of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world. Dr. Sazgar was the first otolaryngologist in Iran to have his subspecialty fellowship as a facial plastic surgeon approved by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education as well as the Islamic Republic of Iran Medical Council.

2007

Promotion to Associate Professor

Dr. Amir Arvin Sazgar attained the rank of associate professorship in 2007 due to his outstanding training, pedagogic, research, and executive activities as well as his numerous scholarly articles. At the time, he was among the youngest members of the Otolaryngology Academic Board to attain this rank.

2000

Member of the Board of Otolaryngology

Immediately after residency and graduation in 2000, he became a faculty member in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Department at Tehran University of Medical Sciences.

1996 - 2000

Otolaryngology Residents

In 1996, Dr. Sazgar ranked first place in the entrance exam for the field of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery and was subsequently accepted at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in this field. During the four year program, he was among the top residents working under the prominent professors of Tehran University of Medical Sciences. In 2000, he completed his specialist and board certification exams with excellent scores.

1985 - 1992

General Medicine

After obtaining his high school diploma from Shahid Motahhari High School in Behshahr, Mazandaran in 1985 with a GPA of 4.0, Dr. Sazgar was accepted at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. He became interested in his current field while taking a course on otolaryngology. The doctor passed his pre-internship tests in 1990 at the top of the class of 1985 with a score of 165. He concluded his internship in Hazrat Ghaem Hospital (aj), graduating in 1992.
