Asian Nose

The Asian nose, or short nose, is not specific to Far Eastern people; rather, it is not uncommon among people in the Middle East due to racial interactions and existence of the Turkmen, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz ethnicities in this area. The main characteristics of this type of nose is that they are small, slightly wider than usual, and have thicker skin. Even though the term small nose is not completely synonymous with Asian nose, surgical techniques utilized in both are mostly the same including increase in tissue mass while preserving harmony and proportion. Cartilage and bone grafts are used abundantly in this type of rhinoplasty. Dr. Sazgar is reluctant to utilize synthetic material or cartilage from animals and other humans for correction of this type of malformation. Instead, he tries to obtain necessary materials from the patient's own body.
